Have you ever felt a  “knot in your stomach” ? Many people hold stress in the abdominal region causing chronic tensing of the muscles that  impair blood flow and lymphatic drainage into & out of the abdominopelvic cavity, and can hinder deep breathing causing lack of normal motion of internal organs hindering the excursion or movement downward and coordination of the respiratory and pelvic (levator ani) diaphragms.  Normally the two diaphragms work in concert, moving together up and down as we breathe to “massage” the internal organs which facilitate normal organ physiology and processes for optimal digestion. When the abdomino-pelvic region is incorrectly aligned, the normal flow of blood and lymph are constricted and can disrupt nerve connection. The circulation of blood to the uterus, ovaries, bladder, and bowel is blocked.

 

Stress, trauma, surgeries, illness, pregnancy and digestive disorders can interrupt the diaphragms coordination. The uterus is held in position by muscles and ligaments that connect it to the pelvis. These uterine ligaments are designed to stretch as a baby begins to grow or as our bladders/bowels become full . When these ligaments and muscles become weak and loose, they can no longer hold up the uterus correctly. The result is a prolapsed or tipped uterus.


This external, noninvasive massage is applied to the abdomino-pelvic muscles and viscera (organs) in a systematic manner.  Abdomino-pelvic Massage strengthens the ligaments and muscles that support the abdomino-pelvic region. After years of being positioned incorrectly, muscles will naturally move back into their incorrect positions if not maintained. Effective abdominal massage can take up to 60 minutes as we also instruct patients to perform the massage independently at home. By targeting specific areas of restriction, adherences, and impaired mobility along the digestive tract.  We have see incredible results such as decreased in pain and improved organ physiology and function in our clients .It can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few months to get the uterus to slide back into place. The large intestine is extensively targeted during the abdominal massage and the massage is comprised of gentle circular motions applied in the direction of normal colon motility.

Postpartum is a time of physical and emotional adjustments. A new mother’s body undergoes physiological and structural changes as part of healing from labor and birth and to return to her pre-pregnant state.

Postpartum massage  relaxes muscles, increases circulation, and lowers stress hormones, bringing both physical and emotional relief. & facilitates recovery. It supports the uterus and ligaments to return to an optimal position and helps bring the pelvis into balance.

What is Yoni Steaming?

V-steaming has been around for centuries, and some say it can help increase energy, reduce stress and balance hormones.  Yoni steam treatment cleanses & sooths the vagina and uterus, regulating the menstrual cycle, easing cramps & bloating, aiding in healing after childbirth. The practice can also be very meditative.

We use a comfortable Yoni seat that you squat or sit over steaming water that is infused with herbs.  A blanket is wrapped around the lower body to prevent the steam from escaping.

Yoni steam herbs mixture is a combination of the  following herbs dependent  on your specific needs and wants:
